So went out to chase the rest of the Kobold scum out in the forest. The plan started well enough, with Busty sneaking around and laying eyes on a few minions and skirmishers.
We drew them out and mopped them up right quick- most of them done in by busty's area of effect spells. But that drew out the big guns- namely the wyrmpriest and ol' irontooth.
although the real damage dealer was one of the spear guys, who dealt out damage like it was going out of style. Rukt and I ran out to the thick of things, which almost was our downfall. Rukt went down to 1 HP and I was down to 5. Luckily, all the kobold's missed their attacks.
I pulled out my never used daily power, and we finally laid the smack down.
healing strike continues to be a useless power for nook.

Busty likes busting up some minions.

What is all the loot? Busty looks around for secret compartments and uses detect magic to look for magic items or any sign of magical sources.

Did the wolf cape-thing on irontooth have anything special about it?
250 XP?
Do we all get healed up from using surges?

LOL. GOod breakdown Winston

Here is the XP from last night

1250/5 = 250XP each

Treasure
Treasure: If the PCs defeat the kobolds, they find the
weapons noted in each kobold stat block, and a total of 12
gp and 48 sp. They also earn the following rewards.
Irontooth: Irontooth has a chain shirt and a battle axe
and carries a pouch with a small silver key and a message
scroll. The message on the scroll is written in Common. It
is addressed to Irontooth and signed by Kalarel. It reads:
“My spy in Winterhaven suggests we keep an eye out
for visitors to the area. It probably does not matter; in just a
few more days, I’ll completely open the rift. Then Winterhaven’s
people will serve as food for all those Lord Orcus
sends to do my bidding.”

In the northeast corner, the adventurers find a locked chest.

Can Durzo check for traps or is he still trapped in his home office? Is the Chain shirt magical? Is the chest magical or does it have a magic trap? I'll open it after a reasonable amount of time checking for traps?

The small silver key does not fit the locked box? One key and one lock inferred that they were a match. Can anyone pick it?
